So it's been five years...

Yesterday marked a very important date in all of my life - so-far. It was my five year wedding anniversary with Austin. We had the best time and he had some surprises for me that I honestly didn't see coming. The night before he wanted to give me his present and I gave him his. He got me an iHome alarm clock! I've been wanting one of those forever! I got him a Skullcandy speaker pipe but he likes my iHome better so he is going to exchange his gift.

After work he drove me to Big Cottonwood Canyon and took me to dinner at Silver Fork Lodge and we ate out on the patio (so romantic!). He ordered us shrimp and avocado dip and we ordered ribs and brisket and for dessert a chocolate lave cake. So delicious! As we were eating there were so many birds eating from birdfeeders and some squirrels were watching us eat it was so cute with the amazing view. I cannot wait to go back there.

We came home and he had more presents for me; 2 dozen roses, chocolates and a sweet card. I loved it all. Thank you    baby for the wonderful time and you definatley made me feel so special! I love being your wife!

So far

So far this year has been a great one. This month we've been back in Utah for one year. Ya ya! Austin and I have purchased our first house and for the first time in my life I feel so peaceful and grateful for all I have. Looking back I can say all the s*$@# we went through in the beginning has been worth the heartache. I used to be so sad and thought that we were being punished for something. Like when you get blamed for something you didn't do and unfairly treated with out hope of redemption. I felt so lost.
Now, only now I feel like that was all for something. Like everything that happened to us magically chalked up to some greater purpose. As bad as I felt then I now feel humble but grateful for all the nights I fell asleep less than content.
Coming home from work everyday is a relief now. Coming home to a place and my little family that I love more than the world is the best thing I could ever dream of. Somewhere I can recharge, refresh and relive my life from what I worked to evolve from a few years ago is better than a second chance. So far I am home.

First Blog! Yes I know. First Blog = Lamo writing. That is probably true but don't worry it will get better over time. Wow thinking of something to write is the hardest thing to do! Ah! I have been sitting here for a half hour in my nordic looking sweater trying not to think of sleep and to focus. Here it goes.

First off the past year has been the best! I am seriously the luckiest girl on the planet!! Austin and I just celeberated our fourth wedding anniversary by going to Christophers Steakhouse in Salt Lake. Mmm best steaks I have ever had! Our little family includes Oskar and Maggie. They are our Miniature Schnauzers who are around 2 years old. What little clowns. Sadly Dragon, our beta didn't make it. We had to flush him around Christmas time. Eck!

Last year about this time we lived in Hermistion, Oregon and were there about a year. It is a small town on the north east corner of Oregon. Let's just say we are very glad to be back home! After moving back we were able to find and purchase our beautiful house! Pretty impressive hu? Besides the increase in cost owning a home is the greatest thing in the world. I can finally have a place to grow with my darling.
